At DC Builders, we specialize in custom residential construction that’s anything but one-size-fits-all. Most homes in the Bakersfield area take 12 to 18 months to complete, depending on permitting and project complexity. We use a simplified build system that includes pre-cut and pre-drilled framing lumber, which speeds up the framing process. On average, a 3,000 sq. ft. home takes about 9–12 months to build, including 2–3 months for dry-in and another 8–9 weeks for finishing.
